How I Met Your Mother Themed Shower

When it came time to start planning my sister Ali’s baby shower, I knew I wanted to do something unique, fun, and something that was exciting for her. It didn’t take me long to decide that a “How I Met Your Mother” themed shower was going to be perfect.

The show is a favorite of my sister and her husband (“La Vie En Rose” played on a ukulele was sang at their wedding,) and I knew I could work in countless show references into the food and decorations. They are keeping the baby’s gender a surprise, so the show’s ongoing theme of blue french horns, yellow umbrellas, and red cowboy boots made for perfect gender-neutral decorations.

It was a great afternoon with lots of presents and lots of How I Met Your Mother jokes.
